Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant

So, finally, after weeks of on and off studying I was able to sit my Service Cloud Consultant certification and passed in the first go!

For those interested in knowing how I prepared for it, this is the path I followed.

I started with working through the Focus on Force study guide. This gives a lot of in-depth details on what you need to know. Alongside the study guide, I did as many Service Cloud badges in Trailhead as possible. I pretty much did all badges related to Service Cloud which greatly improved knowledge. Of course, to test hands on knowledge I did the Service Cloud Superbadge, of which you can find more details in this post.

For the last 2 weeks I spend time revising. As part of the revision I used the Focus on Force Exams, which are really helpful in testing your knowledge. I also spend 2 weeks in a study group talking about all the different Service Cloud topics. This especially helped in focussing knowledge. If you can find a group of people going through the same process, it is definetely worth setting up a study group. Going through the topics, discussing them together, helps in sharing knowledge and finetuning your own.

My experience of the actual exam is that the questions are very short and to the point. Especially compared to Admin & Platform App builder, where questions can often be quite long. I also found that for many questions, you really need to have a good base foundation knowledge about the system. Having a decent hands on experience of Admin will help with lots of questions that were being asked.

Time to take a short break before going for the next certification!
